As part of its training programmes, Promontory offers the Promontory Primed accreditation, a certification for candidates that have completed the detailed Promontory training and demonstrated proficiency in the material by passing an assessment exercise. Promontory also assesses sanctions analysts in their working environment to determine if the analysts meet Promontory’s standards for quality, timeliness, and thoroughness. Those who meet Promontory’s standards will receive the Promontory Proven accreditation.

Training for regulatory agencies
The Promontory team is comprised of former senior regulatory professionals who have worked with regulators across the globe. As consultants to central banks, multilateral organisations and regulators, we have provided in-depth technical and skills based training to staff in each of these areas, to enable them to perform more effectively in their roles.

Market abuse training
Promontory’s market abuse training provides participants with an understanding of the UK market abuse and criminal insider dealing rules, the relevant FSA Principles for Business and Approved Persons and current FSA priorities in this area. We use interactive case studies, informed by our experience of actual cases, to aid learning and provide insight into current topic issues for the regulator. The training is designed and delivered by Ruth Gevers who headed up the FSA's Market Conduct team between 2004 and 2010.
